Lasagna has never been one of those dishes that I ever pictured being prepared in the slow-cooker!
Slow-cooker lasagna is so easy to whip together, I did it in less that 5 minutes! Actually, it was a last minute thought as I was on my way out the door, with my purse on my shoulder no less!
First, I just put about 1/3 of the jar of sauce in the bottom of the crock. Then I broke up a few lasagna noodles and laid them like this. *It is not necessary to boil the noodles for this recipe, they will cook in the sauce! Cool! Don’t buy those goofy “no-boil” noodles…
Then I dump about 1/2 of a container of cottage cheese over the noodles.
Then I put another 1/3 jar of sauce or so….
Then another layer of noodles…
Then I sprinkle a few handfuls of mozzarella cheese and about a cup of Parmesan cheese.
See how fast this goes? Yummmmm……lasagna for dinner!
This would be the layer to add any herbs or spices you want to add…
I grabbed a few leaves of basil and tore them up, adding them to my slow-cooker lasagna.
You could use oregano, garlic, parsley, etc., whatever you have on hand.
Another layer of noodles….
More sauce, then another handful of mozzarella cheese and you’re done!
Slap the lid on that puppy and you can pretty much forget about dinner until it’s time to eat your Crockpot Lasagna!
I always try to keep these ingredients around so that I can get something in the slow-cooker when I need to.
Slow-cooker lasagna is one of my favorite meals to make, my family loves it!

That’s ingenious!! I put my crockpot away for the summer…and I can’t wait to take it back out and try your recipe!
Hey Cole!
I used to think that the crock was just for the cold months, but using it during the summer keeps me from heating the house with the stove.
“Make it Fast, Cook it Slow” is a great cookbook for using your slow-cooker all year round. I hope you enjoy the lasagna!
I am going to have to give this recipe a whirl…
Do you need to use the special “no-cook” lasagna noodles? Or would the regular ones work? It looks so fast and yummy!
Just regular ones! Those “no-cook” noodles are a rip off, any noodle will cook when in some kind of liquid.
This looks delicious! I love anything that is fast and easy to make. Thanks for sharing

Hey Dorcas,
I also love meals that are fast and easy, yet delicious! Thanks for stopping by!
That looks great. It’s really hot here right now, that looks like a great recipe that won’t heat my house up. I’m going to make this tomorrow!
Carrie, we’ve been in the 90′s forever it seems and I use my slowcooker whenever I can to keep the heat inside at a minimum! Thanks for commenting!
I just got a crock pot a couple of weeks ago! First I made spicy barbacoa and just yesterday I made pot roast. This recipe is most def on my list!
Amanda, I soooo love my slowcooker. I totally underestimated it’s usefullness for many years! Enjoy!!
Brilliant! I’ve just been discovering and experimenting with slow cooker recipe myself!!
Hey there Prairie Story! Be sure to let us know if you come up with anything new and yummy! Thanks for your comment!
This may be a crazy question but, can you tell it’s cottage cheese instead of what my hubby would say “real cheese”?
You mean like ricotta?
I would just make the lasagna the way you normally do it, whatever that is. If you normally use ricotta, go ahead and use it.
Oooh, I love how easy this is, and I don’t have to heat up my oven to boot!
Hey Sherry,
Yep, that’s what I love about it! Thanks for coming by!
This is a great idea, especially since most of those ingredients are things we already have on hand. Great recipe! – http://www.delightfulcountrycookin.com
Thank you, country cook, for stopping by and for your comment!

Now this – I need to try!! We love lasagne but make it rarely due to time. Thanks for the recipe.
Julie,
I’ve had the same complaint over the years but this takes just a few minutes and dinner’s ready! I hope your fam likes it! Thanks for your comment!
Got the rest of the ingredients for this today!!
Julie, let me know what you think!
I”ve heard of this before but I’ve never made it! It sounds simple and delicious!
Hey Debbi,
The cool thing about this recipe is that you can really just make lasagna anyway you normally make it, whether it’s vegetarian or with meat.
Thanks for your comment and for stopping by!
Hi! Just wondering how long you cook this for and at what temp? Sounds like a wonderful idea. Thanks!
Tessa,
Didn’t I put that on there? Hmmmm…..better fix that.
I’ve just put it on low all day. You could put it on high for 2-3 hours though.
Well, after reading about the Coffee Cake and Lasagna,I am hungry.I think I will make some, after I make a Coffee Crumb Sour Cream Cake.
One of my go to crockpot meals is meatloaf. Turns out just as good as in the oven but so much easier. Have also done enchiladas in the crockpot with yummy results. I love my crockpot and use it anytime that I can. It is such a time saver and makes stress free dinners on busy days.
Erin,
I’ve never done meatloaf in the slowcooker, but why not??? I should try that.
