Wedding at the Morristribe: Hailey and Eric

The big day had finally arrived- Hailey’s wedding day!

Getting everyone dressed was so much fun, the adrenaline was pumping through everyone’s veins like crazy!  There’s just something so exciting and special about a family member getting married.

The little boys had nagged me all week about when they could put on their tuxes.  We were due for pictures at 2pm, so we fed them lunch and then allowed them to get dressed.

Rahel and Meredith were the Jr. bridesmaids, don’t they look beautiful?

The guys practiced their dance moves!

Hailey’s dress fit her personality like a glove, what a beautiful bride!

My husband and I, waiting to be told where to stand for pictures.  It was all pretty surreal.  Were we really standing here watching one of our children get married?

Eric and Hailey pose.  I couldn’t have chosen a better son-in-law.  He is a solid young man who knows who he is in the Lord.  Eric has our entire confidence that he can take care of our daughter for a lifetime.

The wedding party!

Meredith and Mommy!  Oh Lord, don’t make me marry this one off anytime soon.

Mr. and Mrs. Eric Heater!

The bride and groom cut the cake.  The reception took place under the tent with wonderful food that Hailey and Eric chose, gluten-free no less!  There was a barista (coffee bar) was well, which I completely loved.

A strong rain cell showed up during the meal, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit.  We all just huddled a bit closer together and got to know each other a little bit better.  A smaller guest list helped the atmosphere to stay personal and loving, this was important to the couple.

Hailey and Eric enter the reception, relaxed and ready to dance!

We danced and danced!  What fun!

Our little boys boogied and boogied, they absolutely brought the house down!

Although I am a bit biased, this was a wonderful wedding.  Personable, intimate, great food and fun!

The happy couple will be spending their honeymoon in Arizona.  We all wish them a lifetime of happiness!

Oh my…what a wonderful day! so sweet of you to share some pics. I can’t imagine what a feeling that must be to watch your daughter get married. She looked beautiful…as did you! You clean up nice….LOL! Congrats to making it through what must have been a whirlwind. Best of luck and blessing to this new chapter.

    • Kelly says:

Thanks, Jen! Yeah, we take a shower every once in a while around here, lol!

I’m looking forward to grandbabies, to be quite honest. That said, I would like to see Hailey finish her Masters first.

  8. Thanks for sharing, Kelly! We have one son married off. But I cannot imagine my only daughter getting married. That will be an emotional day.

    What a wonderful day!
I love the snapshot of you and your husband – caught in a moment of tenderness and pride in your lovely family.

  13. Amy says:

What a beautiful bride…and mother of the bride! It looks like it was a wonderful wedding, and the memories will last a lifetime. I looked at you in that picture, Kelly, and tearfully thought of the fact that I could easily be in your shoes within only a few years as my oldest is now 16. My husband and I were just talking about this a couple of days ago. That God is “preparing a mate for her and she for her mate” has been my prayer most of her life, but I find myself praying it even more often as she quickly approaches womanhood. So happy for your daughter and for you…sounds like you just added another son to your brood.

    • Kelly says:

      Amy,

As I said in the post, it was so surreal standing there. Hailey is 25 years old, but I honestly didn’t think I would be mother-of-the-bride for a few more years.

That said, I am SOOOOO grateful for Eric, and you’re right…I have another son.

  14. Cathy says:

Congratulations to all of you! Looks like a beautiful and memorable wedding.
