It’s Monday and time to share the best of what’s happening out there in the world of homesteading and sustainable living!
Take the time to either link up, if you have a blog, or leave a comment about what’s happening at YOUR homestead, be it
Urban, Rural or Suburban!
This is a family-friendly, G-rated website, please link up as such.

I don’t see the linkey thingy…? Am I missing something? I tried to find it last week too…
Chara
I don’t see it either!
I don’t have a blog….yet, so I’ll just leave a comment. This week on the farm, we shold be hatching chicks! I need to get out and start digging up our new corn/pumpkin patch, work on some sewing, and get some more seeds in the dirt.
Elizabeth, that sounds wonderful! What are you sewing?
Our current homestead is in limbo, so to speak. We’re getting ready to break ground on our new homestead, which means no garden except for a few tomatoes in large pots that we can transport to the new place. We’ll have to rely on farmer’s markets and local orchards this year. We will spend our first year at the new place settling into, planning and preparing a garden, and building a chicken coop/run adjacent to the garden for our future flock. Then, I will get my blog and share our homesteading journey. When I’m not busy being a mom, wife and chauffeur, I like to sew and crochet.
A. States,
Wow! You’ve got a busy year ahead, but it’s all worth it! Just rely on the Farmer’s markets for now, you’ll be up and running in no time! SSSSOOOOOOO excited for you!! Maybe you can put some energy into your fabric arts when you’re frustrated from not being in the garden!
Thanks for hosting, Kelly. This week I linked up a post on the humble dandelion, and it’s many uses as food for animals and people and as medicine. It makes a very nice wine, too.
Thanks Laurie! I’ve been doing crazy things with dandelions too! Can’t wait to read what you’ve got going on!
Laurie,
Great minds think alike! I’ve been working on a dandelion post myself since we have 2.6 billion of them outback! Hate to see them go to waste, you know? I didn’t realize that there were so many ways to cook them!
I linked up and I’ll add a blog button to my blog’s sidebar
Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather
