“How to Pressure Can and Perennial Fall Planting”

People often find pressure canning to be an intimidating experience.  That’s why I made this video.

I, too, at one time was very anxious about pressure canning, until a dear neighbor came over to my kitchen and showed me.   As you invite me into your kitchen, I’ll show you everything you’ll need and take you step by step, through the entire process, for free.

Watch it as many times as you need to until you’re ready….let me know if you have any questions.

Oh yay! I just got a pressure canner and we’re getting ready to use it for the first time tomorrow.

YAY! I’m hoping to order my All American this week but I am admittedly afraid I’m going to blow up the whole house with it LOL – thank you thank you thank you!

  3. Heidi says:

Thanks for sharing this video. I have just begun learning how to can. My first pressure canning experience was chicken stock and it turned out perfectly.

  4. Michele P says:

Thanks for this great video. We do water bath canning and a lot of freezing, but need to get brave enough to try pressure canning!

  5. Hawthorne says:

Brilliant! Thanks for the lesson on pressure canning. I’ve enjoyed water bath canning (or ‘bottling’ as we call it in England) fruit and have just ordered a pressure canner to do veg, soups and stews.

A question: living on my own, I’ve been using small jars for my fruit – can you stack jars on top of each other in a pressure canner?

    Really excited about all this!

      Hawthorne,

I would NOT stack jars in a pressure canner, or a water bath either, for that matter. Glad you enjoyed the video! :)
