Wood for me! We use just enough of the sticks and branches that naturally fall to get a good bed of coals and we cook and cook. The leftover coals that are drowned to prevent forest fires” ” are moved around near the edge like a horse shoe and are used until only ash is left.
I still want to use this wood ash for soap but haven’t gotten that far yet!
